Police Foil Kidnap Attempt, Rescue Ten Victims in Katsina State

In a coordinated effort between the Katsina State Police Command and the military, a bandit attack was thwarted, and ten kidnapped victims were successfully rescued on February 25th, 2024, along the Kukar Babangida to Yan Gayya feeder road.

The joint patrol team, conducting a routine inspection, encountered a fierce firefight initiated by suspected armed bandits wielding AK-47 rifles. Acting swiftly, the patrol team effectively returned fire, preventing the attack and securing the release of ten hostages.

Commending the operational competence and gallantry of the patrol team, Commissioner of Police Katsina State Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, psc+, urged citizens to continue supporting the command and other security agencies by providing timely information for swift and decisive action against criminal activities. He emphasized the command's unwavering commitment to ensuring a safer Katsina State.
